Where are you right now? Are you at Home?

Home is where I usually do my scrolling, reading articles, watching videos, checking the same three or four apps over and over. I have a dent in my pinky where the phone sits and my thumb does all the reps up and down. Ever since I had my third baby I have been finding my self at home more than usual and then one day my iphone very rudely offered me a "screen time" report and I was forced to face up to how much time I was spending staring at my phone. I decided that if I had all this time at home I might as well use it to get my thoughts out. So I started this blog so I could write about things that I know and what better than to write about my home.

My home is where the baby is crying, the boys are fighting over one of what must be a thousand Legos, the husband is outside grilling up something delicious. I could vacuum all day and never get rid of all the dog hair, and I have to have the subtitles on if I want to know what is going on in my show.

I spent my twenties pretty care free, attended college, met the love of my life, even traveled a little bit. I was basically free to do what ever I wanted from the moment I opened my eyes to the time my head hit the pillow. Sure I always had a job and I worked a lot, but most of my time was my own. It wasn't until my husband and I started growing our family that I discovered that my time wasn't my own anymore.

And it didn't happen over night; I slowly surrendered my moments and like a stock home victim I was happy to do so. So what is a full night rest? When you can be rocking your sweet baby boy to sleep. Oh you want my a bite of my toast? Of coarse by darling little angel you can have my toast. Little did I know that I would for the foreseeable future I would not be getting a full nights sleep and if I wanted to eat my toast I would have to hide it.

Being a mom to three littles has completely changed my life. I can go anywhere or plan anything without thinking about who has the kids, how are we getting there, and what do I need to take with me. The change has been huge, and it comes with it's challenges, but I wouldn't have it another way. My kids have tipped my life upside down, but I always enjoyed the loopy-loop rollercoasters so I suppose I'll just hang on for the ride.

So this is my blog where I plan to get out my thoughts, get back to writing, and maybe even document some of the wild (or mundane) adventures that come my way. Just so you know, I'm not an expert in anything, just the blind not trying to lead anyone. I'm just trying to figure out my life at home.
